BOOK A TREATMENT

"95% of dogs respond to canine massage therapy"

The clinical trials research into the efficacy of canine massage therapy with Winchester University, the Canine Massage Guild and the Canine Massage Therapy Centre Ltd., is now published in the Vet Record, a peer reviewed medical journal distributed by the British Veterinary Association.

This wide cross-sectional study demonstrates:

  • All dog types respond positively to massage therapy, regardless of a dog’s breed, sex, neuter status, primary area affected, original cause of referral, main diagnosis or primary owner concern

  • Pain severity significantly reduced after massage therapy session and continued to significantly reduce with each subsequent treatment

  • All five Principles of Pain (Gait, Posture, Daily Activity, Behaviour and Performance) significantly improve over time according to owner and practitioner opinion

  • Of the 140 cases where a Performance issue was reported by the owner, severity significantly decreased over time. Improvements started after the first treatment.
